rest, creativity & inspiration

spring sky March 15, 2022

It’s an amazing sunny day here in Portland as I write these words. Nature is waking up and coming alive as we move into spring. I see beauty, creativity, and curiosity as nourishment, and feel they are interchangeable and woven together. I want to offer up some bits of inspiration allowing us a few minutes to rest, with beauty and the aesthetic informing it.

…a few things to look at.

I was invited to have the above collages included in a group show at TROPPUS PROJECTS in Kent, Ohio. It opens on the first day of spring, March 20, and runs through April 30th.

The show is called A New. Owner & curator Kelly Dietrick said she wanted, “… to present a variety of works that are nature-inspired and have a visual and/or conceptual brightness to them – in contrast to our current events.”

If you find yourself in Kent, Ohio stop by 141 S Water Street Thursday-Sunday 12-5 pm (here’s their website for a virtual viewing) you can find them on Instagram too.
