Verdant, the Landscape & Agnes Martin

Forest Park

Art is the concrete representation of our most subtle feelings - Agnes Martin

I took the most inspiring hike the other day on one of the many trails we have in the Portland area. So green - green, green! I was surrounded by a breathtaking overwhelm of green. After settling into the environment, the green shifted to greens. All the various types of lush, verdant foliage began to reveal their own specific shades of green to my eyes. In a relatively small area, several pops of different greens appeared. Now, I ask you - take a look out the window, or next time you take a walk become aware and note the verdancy around you.

Spring - longer days are here and everything is waking up. It’s such a pleasure to get out in the world and search for those tender reminders that winter is over.
